We’ve all heard about the iPhone 4 signal/antenna issue, but what about that burning USB cable connected to the iPhone 4, reported by Slashgear? Now, it seems that another cable melted, this time one that was used on an Apple iPad.

The new situation was reported by a mystery source called Forge, who one night smelled burning plastic. And since there was no iPhone 4 roast cooking, the unlucky user found the USB connector of his iPad melting.

Don’t mistake this for an epidemic just yet, as such random cases are still coincidences or flukes, so the iPad is safe… for now.
