The Apple iPhone 4 was just launched in China courtesy of local carrier China Unicom and as you can see in the video below, the handset took off amidst the public’s frenzy. People stood in line, they rushed to buy the phone and proved that this Apple gizmo is quite popular in Asia.

The iPhone 4 debuted at 4 Apple Stores in China, with pretty high prices for the unlocked versions: $746 for the 16GB version and $849 for the 32GB one. These contract-free handsets are available at Apple Stores only, while China Unicom customers will get the devices with 2 years contracts and possibly lower prices.
