The iPhone 6s new models were rumored to be launched on a special event on September 11th, that but that rumor went away fast, making space for a new one. It’s widely accepted  now that Apple will unveil its new products on September 9th, but today we also learn the date when preorders will start.

According to one French carrier, that date is precisely September 11th. What you see above is a memo sent out to employees, informing them that the preorders for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are due to begin on September 11th. That’s a Friday, fitting the scheme of Apple launches till now. If the Cupertino firm sticks to its usual schedule, this means they may make the announcement on the same week, on a Tuesday or Wednesday, which is September 8th or 9th.

Actual availability is a bit more complicated, but the first wave of products should be in stores on September 18th, based on previous launches. The new iPhones are said to pack 12 megapixel cameras, the new Apple A9 processor, 2 GB of RAM and touchscreens that support Force Touch. The designs won’t change very much.
