iQOO may be preparing an 8.8-inch gaming tablet with active cooling and a battery near 9,000mAh. The device, reportedly called the iQOO Pad Ultra, is said to use an OLED screen and a future Snapdragon platform manufactured on a 2nm process, according to tipster Digital Chat Station.
The leak describes a compact tablet with narrow bezels, a centered punch-hole cutout and a square rear camera module. The chassis is also said to include an exhaust opening for the integrated cooling fan. Reported color options are Shadow Black and Star Armor Silver, while gaming-focused accessories are expected to be offered alongside the tablet.
The rumored chip is linked to Qualcomm's forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 family, but Qualcomm has not announced that generation or confirmed its manufacturing process. As a result, both the chipset branding and the 2nm claim remain speculative. An active fan could nevertheless be significant in an 8.8-inch design, where sustained gaming performance is more difficult to maintain with passive cooling alone.
A vivo tablet carrying model number iPA2691 has also appeared in China's SRRC and 3C certification databases. Local sources have associated that model with the iQOO Pad Ultra, suggesting 66W charging and a Wi-Fi-only configuration because cellular bands were not listed. Neither vivo nor iQOO has confirmed that iPA2691 is the Pad Ultra, so those details should be treated as unverified.
If the specifications hold up, the Pad Ultra would enter the same compact gaming-tablet segment as Lenovo's Legion Y700 (2026), which also has an 8.8-inch display and a 9,000mAh battery. iQOO is expected to introduce the tablet around the same time as the iQOO 16, potentially in late September or early October, but its launch date, regional availability and final hardware configuration have yet to be announced.
