LG has outlined its contribution to Apple Home Collection: seven smart-home accessories developed with Apple at both the hardware and software stages. The range includes security cameras, a wired video doorbell, a smart deadbolt lock, a thermostat and a temperature sensor, with the first releases scheduled for December in the US and Canada.
The devices can be set up and controlled in Apple’s Home app without a separate account or mandatory companion app, while also supporting LG ThinQ. That integration extends to Apple Home automations and the company’s Home ecosystem rather than being limited to a basic compatibility label.
LG’s Smart Deadbolt Lock uses an Apple Wallet home key and Ultra Wideband technology to unlock hands-free as an authorized user approaches with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch. NFC tap access, a PIN and a physical key remain available as alternatives.
For indoor monitoring, the LG Indoor Cam Plug-In has a 160-degree field of view and a physical tilt mechanism intended to signal when monitoring has been disabled. The LG Video Doorbell Wired uses two cameras: a 2.5K front camera for visitors and a Full HD lower camera to cover deliveries. It also supports two-way audio, with audible alerts available through HomePod, HomePod mini and Apple HomeView.
The seven-device lineup and US pricing
| Product | Primary function | US price |
|---|---|---|
| LG Indoor Cam Plug-In | Indoor camera with 160-degree view and privacy tilt mechanism | $199.95 |
| LG Outdoor Cam Plug-In | Outdoor camera with 2.5K video and color night vision | $299.95 |
| LG Floodlight Cam | Outdoor camera with two motion-activated floodlights | $399.95 |
| LG Video Doorbell Wired | Dual-camera wired doorbell for visitors and packages | $249.95 |
| LG Smart Deadbolt Lock | Smart lock with UWB, NFC, PIN and physical-key access | $349.95 |
| LG Smart Thermostat | Heating and cooling control with Apple Adaptive Temperature | $199.95 |
| LG Temperature Sensor | Temperature and humidity monitoring for additional rooms | $39.95 |
The thermostat can adjust temperatures around home, away and sleep states, while additional sensors provide readings from other rooms. Whether that translates into independently controlled room temperatures will still depend on the heating or cooling equipment connected to the thermostat.
Apple says the camera monitoring features and 10-day video history require a home hub and a compatible iCloud+ plan. Local storage can continue recording during a Wi-Fi outage, and Apple Home data is end-to-end encrypted.
LG expects sales to begin in December in the US and Canada. Apple has also listed the UK for the cameras and video doorbell, while noting that some accessories will not reach stores until early 2027. The smart lock, thermostat and temperature sensor are initially planned for the US and Canadian markets.
