Users of Xiaomi devices will be happy to know that next Friday they will get MIUI 6 through an update. It will all start through an open beta initially and then the full rollout will come.

This is a MIUI V5 update, that brings a change in the icons, design direction and flatter UI. There’s also a new lockscreen and a more immersive experience, with a redrawn status bar and new animations and transitions. MIUI 6 features new global operation gestures, that’s optimized for devices with large screens.

You can batch organize icons, rely on quick search tools and features an intuitive way of use. There’s a brand new notification shade included, with useful toggles, like the music control panel, offering quick access to music. MIUI will get over 5,000 beautiful themes for the phone, each of them crafted artistically by famous designers.

MIUI Market, Games, Music and Video have also been redesigned and have stores integrated within them.
