The leak of the day involves a new Huawei handset, that appears to be part of the Mate series, judging by its traits. All we have is the picture below, accompanied by a price tag, that’s very affordable.

It appears this model is going to cost $161, which for a device with a fingerprint scanner at the back sounds very good. Sources also say this unit may come with 4G connectivity and from what I can see, its lines also feel a bit like an HTC phone, if you really want a comparison. The back camera protrudes a bit and the sensor seems generous enough.

I can’t say I’m surprised, since I’ve seen my share of fingerprint scanning phones with low prices, from the likes of Elephone. Next month we’re going to see a new Mate model with high end specs, but Huawei will cover all bases apparently, also launching the lower end unit pictured here. Maybe a lite version?
