Recently, the guys from MobilPort, a hungarian tech website wanted to know what’s the difference between two of the most best camerphones available on the market, the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom and the Nokia Lumia 1020. One of the first thing we notice about these phones is the fact that the Samsung device packs an optical zoom system while Nokia counts on lossless digital zoom.

Yet, it seems that the optical zoom doesn’t look so good in some photos compared to the one used by the Nokia Lumia 1020, as you can see in the pictures below. Even if it was released last year in July, Nokia Lumia 1020 manages to keep its pole position in the battle for the best cameraphones on the market.

Nokia Lumia 1020 packs a 41 megapixel sensor with a 7152 x 5468 pixel resolution, Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization, auto or manual focus and both Xenon and LED flash. The sensor found on this device measures 1/1.5″ and it has a 1.12 µm pixel size.

The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom offers a 20.7 megapixel camera (5248 x 3935 pixels), auto or manual focus, 10x optical zoom (24-240mm), optical image stabilization and a Xenon + LED flash.
