In case you’re all about Twitter and other similar social networking services, you’ll be glad to find out that Nokia Messaging for social networks beta has just been updated with support for the famous microblogging platform. Tweeting has just become convenient and easy to do from your Nokia phone’s homescreen.

If you remember, Nokia introduced the first version of this social networking feature back in September 2009, allowing users to view, post and comment on messages via Facebook. Also, they could share their status and location, all of those on a Nokia handset. Feedback from the last months was used and so Twitter also became available, while Facebook functions were enhanced.

Among the new features added to Facebook there are the ability to upload pictures and videos, the option of viewing upcoming events and birthdays, importing them to the device calendar, the friend search function and click to call/ click to SMS plus click to FB email. Nokia’s service is in early preview version and it’s supported on Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini and Nokia 5800 devices for now.
