OPPO’s Enco X4 are a confident flagship true-wireless entry built around a dual-driver design, high-end noise cancellation and unusually deep bass customization. After two weeks of daily use, their strongest impression is the low-frequency performance: the Thundering Bass preset and BassWave adjustment can deliver a remarkably physical, textured response for in-ear buds without obvious distortion at high volume.

The earbuds pair an 11 mm woofer with a 6 mm tweeter and cover a stated 10 Hz to 40 kHz frequency range. OPPO has also continued its Dynaudio collaboration, offering several tuning profiles through the HeyMelody app alongside a 10-band Sound Master EQ. Dynaudio High-Resolution proved the most broadly balanced option in listening, while some presets were less convincing across different genres; Pure Vocals, for example, could make lower vocal tones sound overly sharp in the treble.

OPPO Enco X4 Review: Powerful Bass, Strong ANC and Find X10-Only Lossless Audio
  • Dynaudio Original Sound is positioned as the all-round tuning.
  • Dynaudio High-Resolution aims for a faithful Dynaudio speaker-style signature.
  • Pure Vocals emphasizes the vocal line.
  • Crisp Highs prioritizes instrumental detail, particularly for piano and orchestral recordings.
  • Thundering Bass delivers the deepest and most prominent low-end tuning.

BassWave adds 10 levels of bass adjustment, from weak to strong, and is best used with restraint. At level 5 alongside Thundering Bass, it gave bass-heavy material substantial impact while retaining its texture. Spatial Audio also made a meaningful contribution, producing a more immersive presentation rather than a merely widened stereo image.

ANC, calls and personalization

Noise cancellation is another clear strength. The High ANC setting effectively reduced mechanical keyboard noise, a robot vacuum and loud outdoor voices during testing. The app offers High, Moderate, Low and Auto ANC settings, plus adaptive noise control, Transparency and an off mode.

OPPO equips each bud with three microphones and a bone-conduction VPU, backed by a 6 nm NPU and an AI noise-separation algorithm for calls. The company also says the earbuds can work as a spatial vlogging microphone through simultaneous capture on both buds, although that feature is limited to Find phones.

Golden Sound is the more unusual software feature. It runs a hearing and ear-canal analysis before applying a personalized sound profile. In testing, the resulting profile brought extra fullness and warmth to voices. Other app features include head-motion controls, automatic conversation detection, a low-latency Game Mode, ear-tip fit testing, sleep-triggered music pause, Find My Earbuds and Neck Health posture alerts.

Connectivity and battery

The Enco X4 support Bluetooth 6.1, AAC, SBC, LHDC and LC3, with a stated wireless range of up to 10 meters. Dual-device connectivity allows switching between two devices, including products from different ecosystems. They are OPPO’s first TWS earbuds to offer lossless transmission, reaching up to 2.3 Mbps at 48 kHz/24-bit through LHDC—but only when paired with an OPPO Find X10-series handset. That restriction limits the appeal of one of the buds’ most significant technical features.

  • Earbud battery: 65 mAh per earbud.
  • Charging-case battery: 576 mAh.
  • Rated playback: up to 6 hours with AAC, 50% volume and ANC enabled.
  • Rated total playback with the case: up to 26 hours under the same AAC and ANC conditions.
  • Rated charging time: 55 minutes for the earbuds and 65 minutes for earbuds plus case.
  • LHDC playback is rated at up to 5.5 hours with otherwise identical settings.

With High ANC, Dynaudio High-Resolution and volume typically around 60% to 70%, the earbuds handled daily one- to two-hour listening sessions for roughly a week before recharging. The matte, satin-finished design is practical as well as premium-looking: it is easier to grip than glossy alternatives, while the 5.6 g buds remained secure and comfortable for extended wear. The 50.9 g case is not particularly small, but its oval form and balanced weight make it easy to carry.

OPPO Enco X4 Review: Powerful Bass, Strong ANC and Find X10-Only Lossless Audio

The Enco X4 are available in Glacier White and Aurora Violet, ship with XS, S, M and L silicone tips, and carry an IP55 dust- and water-resistance rating. Their strongest assets are the detailed, customizable sound, effective ANC, impressive Spatial Audio and exceptional bass headroom; the remaining question is how widely OPPO will make the earbuds available, and whether the Find X10 lock-in for 2.3 Mbps LHDC audio will matter to prospective buyers outside that ecosystem.
