The Oppo R809T comes after a promising leak, that said the device was going to be the thinnest in the world, at 6.1 mm. Instead we get a disappointing 6.93 mm handset, sadly, one that’s even thicker than the Oppo Finder X907 handset we reviewed… That one was 6.65 mm in thickness.

The thinnest smartphone in the world remains the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra, with a 6.45 mm waistline. Back to the Oppo newcomer, the smartphone packs a 4.7 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a 1.2 GHz quad core processor inside, as well as 1 GB of RAM. There’s an 8 megapixel camera at the back and at the front we have an interesting 2 megapixel cam with 88 degree angle.

It’s important to mention that the handset will come in a single SIM and dual SIM version and the price tag is supposed to be about $400, so not that pricey, unless you compare it to the very hot and well specced Xiaomi handsets. I should also mention the good news here: this model runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
