Panasonic is not exactly a famous brand when it comes to mobile phones, but they did generate a bit of interest at MWC 2012 with their Eluga handset. We haven’t heard much since, but we’ve seen the handset selling for basically nothing nowadays at various retailers. And now there’s a new model coming, supposedly with a Full HD screen…

Panasonic’s P-02E was found in server logs, hinting at a new mobile. If the device truly is a 1080p smartphone it will join the likes of LG, HTC, Sony and Samsung, all of them already having or preparing such handsets with high res displays. All the evidence we have concerning this model is a server log that revealed the 1920 x 1080 resolution and the fact that it runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.

Panasonic announced a little while ago that they will be focusing more on their home market of Japan, after some tough times. This means that it’s likely we’ll never see the new smartphone in US and Europe, unless someone wants to import it, since it’s too cool. Anyway, we’ll learn more once CES and MWC are here…
