POCO has introduced the POCO X8 in Europe, pairing an 8,340mAh battery with a €319 introductory price for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The phone sits below the POCO X8 Pro in performance positioning, but its battery capacity is a central part of its pitch.
The silicon-based battery is claimed to offer around 63% more capacity than the POCO X7’s cell. POCO says it will retain 80% of its original capacity after 1,600 charging cycles, while USB-C wired charging is rated at up to 67W.

The POCO X8 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 and has a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 2,772 x 1,280-pixel resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR brightness of up to 3,500 nits. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the screen.
Despite the large battery, the handset measures 8.6mm thick and weighs 223g. It carries both IP68 and IP69K ratings, and POCO includes a dedicated underwater photo and video mode. Other features include an under-display fingerprint reader, NFC, dual-SIM support and Bluetooth 5.1.

The rear camera system combines a 50MP f/1.8 main camera with optical image stabilization and a 2MP auxiliary sensor, while the front camera has a 16MP resolution. The 12GB RAM version carries an introductory €359 price. Once the initial promotion ends, POCO lists prices of €399 and €449 respectively, with market-by-market availability details still to be confirmed.
