Marcelo Coelho turned an AI-generated animated trailer into a real-world marriage proposal, matching its final ring-box scene with the moment he proposed to his partner, Jéssica Uinny. The video, which emerged in October 2025, subsequently drew millions of TikTok views in the days after it was published.

Coelho, a Brazilian art director and filmmaker who specializes in AI, made Uinny the central character of the trailer. Her animated counterpart, named Jay, dreams of an Amalfi Coast trip and a proposal aboard a boat before waking up to everyday life.

As the pair watch the trailer together on their sofa, Uinny recognizes herself in the character. The animation then shows Coelho’s character taking out a ring box while the couple sit in the same setting; Coelho repeats that gesture in real life, and Uinny accepts the proposal.

The work uses visual cues associated with Disney and Pixar animation, but it is not a production from either studio. The reporting does not identify the AI tools Coelho used, so the trailer cannot be tied to a specific video generator. Tools such as Google Flow can create AI video sequences, while Gemini Omni Flash can generate and edit material from text, images, or video, but neither has been confirmed as part of this project.
