Nintendo Switch 2 games have begun appearing in experimental demonstrations on hardware beyond the console only days after the first reported jailbreak method emerged. A modified version of the nxnative project was used to run Mario Kart World on an iPhone 18 Pro, although the code used for the demonstration will not be released publicly.

Developer Will Faust shared the iPhone footage, saying the modified setup uses roughly 6.5 GB of physical memory. nxnative is intended to run Nintendo games on Apple Silicon devices and had previously been demonstrated on macOS.

A separate modified build of the Eden emulator has reportedly booted Splatoon Raiders on PC. Developer Sheepish said the game reaches its character-selection screen, but the build is not yet a usable emulator release.

  • Performance problems remain.
  • Some features are missing.
  • VSync is not supported.

Sheepish said AI tools were used during implementation and suggested that the modified Eden build could be released soon. Separately, an image claiming to show Donkey Kong Bananza running on PC has surfaced, but that demonstration has not been independently verified.

The reported Switch 2 jailbreak is also limited: it must be reapplied after a console restart and currently does not provide kernel-level access or custom firmware. The demonstrations are no longer available on the developers’ X accounts, with the report attributing their removal to Nintendo. Nintendo has previously pursued emulator developers in court, including the creators of Yuzu, leaving the status of any public releases uncertain.
