The REDMAGIC Astra 2 reached 96.8 dBA in gaming and multimedia testing, pairing high output with clear voices, audible bass and no noticeable distortion near maximum volume. The compact gaming tablet uses two stereo speakers, with DTS:X Ultra certification and REDMAGIC’s N'Bass technology intended to reinforce lower frequencies.

  • 81.4 dBA measured from the lower speaker
  • 82.2 dBA measured from the upper speaker
  • 96.8 dBA recorded during gaming and multimedia testing

The 0.8 dBA gap between the individual speaker measurements points to closely matched stereo output. In comparative testing, the Astra 2 outperformed the iPad 10 (2022) and was roughly in line with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Its 96.8 dBA result also placed it ahead of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and Huawei MatePad 12 X (2025) in the same testing context.

Listening tests across Riptide GP Renegade, Genshin Impact and PUBG: Mobile found that the tablet retained a balanced presentation as volume increased, rather than trading clarity for loudness. Bass remained present for a tablet of this size, while dialogue and other vocal audio stayed distinct.

REDMAGIC also ties the audio hardware to gaming-focused software in Game Space. Its audio equalizer allows frequency adjustments, including settings that can emphasize cues such as opponents’ footsteps in competitive titles. The same area provides controls for 4D haptic feedback, delivered through two linear motors to add vibration effects alongside game audio.
