Samsung and T-Mobile have just announced the launch of three new messaging-focused phones, available via the US carrier. These devices are the Gravity T touchscreen phone, the side sliding Gravity 3 and the entry-level Smiley model. The first two are part of T-Mobile’s new generation of Gravity handsets.

They feature side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, support for 3G connectivity, personal email and corporate Exchange support. Social networking is also available thanks to T-Mobile’s Social Buzz application and we learn that there’s also a 2 megapixel camera with video recording in the mix, plus a GPS, Bluetooth, HTML browser and support for 16GB microSD cards.

The difference between Gravity T and Gravity 3 is in the input method section, as the first relies on the 2.8 inch touch display, while the Gravity 3 is more about the standard T9 numeric keypad. Smiley is an entry level handset with a rounded design and relying on a vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard. The phone also packs a 1.3 megapixel camera, GPS, a microSD card slot, Bluetooth, GPS and support for T-Mobile Social Buzz.

All three phones are available right now for $74.99 for the Gravity T, $49.99 for the Gravity 3 and $19.99 for the Smiley, with 2 year agreements included.
