Not so long after launching the 12 megapixel cameraphone Pixon12, Samsung goes out and announces SCH-W880, the world’s first 12MP handset with 3X optical zoom. The device should reach the Korean market in October, packing a beautiful AMOLED display and many other hot specs.

We remind you that Pixon12 became available in June, being the first 12 MP cameraphone launched globally. Back to W880, this handset’s display is a 3.3 inch touchscreen AMOLED unit, with a 800 x 480 pixel resolution and its feature list also includes HD Video recording @ 30fps, touch autofocus tracking, Xenon and Power LED flash plus support for many formats of media playback.

Mobile TV (DMB) is also supported, as well as Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, WCDMA, GSM, DCS and PCS roaming. 4GB of internal memory will provide space for your favourite songs and videos, plus an extra of 32GB via microSD card slot.
