Samsung Display is reportedly close to starting mass production of AMOLED panels for the Galaxy S27 lineup, a supply-chain development that points to Samsung moving toward the assembly stage for its next flagship phones. South Korean sources cited in the report say panel production could begin as soon as this month.

The display orders are said to cover four models and total roughly 47 million to 48 million panels, about 10% more than the approximately 40 million panels targeted for the Galaxy S26 generation. The reported increase is tied to the addition of the Galaxy S27 Pro.

  • Galaxy S27: 6.27-inch display
  • Galaxy S27 Pro: 6.47-inch display
  • Galaxy S27+: 6.66-inch display
  • Galaxy S27 Ultra: 6.89-inch display

Samsung Display is reportedly expected to supply 2 million to 3 million Galaxy S27 Pro panels by the end of this year, followed by another 4 million to 5 million units early next year.

The same supply-chain information reiterates that the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will use a Privacy Display feature integrated into the screen. The technology previously debuted on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and is intended to limit visibility from side angles.

Samsung has not announced the Galaxy S27 series or confirmed its specifications. Camera differences between the new Pro model and the Ultra, in particular, remain unclear as the reported panel-production schedule takes shape.
