Samsung’s Galaxy A08 5G has surfaced in an IMEI database, confirming that a 5G version of the recently launched Galaxy A08 4G is in development. The database record does not reveal a full specification sheet, but the handset is expected to retain much of the 4G model’s hardware while replacing its Helio chipset with a processor that supports 5G connectivity.

A February 2027 launch is rumored for the Galaxy A08 5G. If that timing is accurate, Samsung will have introduced the 4G variant first during the year-end holiday period before following it with the 5G edition roughly three months later.

Those specifications are expected to carry over from the Galaxy A08 4G, leaving mobile-network support and the chipset as the meaningful points of separation. Samsung has not officially announced the Galaxy A08 5G, so its final hardware, launch schedule and market availability remain unconfirmed.
