Samsung appears to be preparing the Galaxy A18 4G, with a case listed on the company’s UK website as compatible with both the Galaxy A18 and Galaxy A18 5G. While the phone has not been formally announced, the accessory listing provides the clearest indication yet that the two models are on the way.
Leaks point to a conservative update for the 4G version. A device identified as SM-A185G has appeared on Geekbench with roughly 4GB of RAM, Android 17 and MediaTek’s MT6789 chipset, a platform associated with the Helio G99. If that configuration reaches retail hardware, Samsung will have retained the same core processor used by the Galaxy A17 4G.
The rumored specification sheet includes a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. The camera setup is said to comprise a 50-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The main hardware change may be durability. CAD renders indicate a familiar design with a waterdrop display notch and a vertical rear camera module, with the handset expected to be slightly thicker than its predecessor. The Galaxy A18 4G is rumored to carry an IP64 rating, improving on the IP54 protection of the Galaxy A17 4G.
Color options are expected to include black, silver and light blue. A separate leak places the European price at about €299, though Samsung has not confirmed that figure. The Galaxy A17 4G reportedly started at €199 last year, so a €299 launch price would represent a substantial increase for a device rumored to keep the same chipset, battery capacity and camera configuration. Official pricing, availability and the final specification list remain unknown.
