Samsung’s Galaxy A38 5G may arrive with an unchanged camera setup, according to a report from GalaxyClub. The unannounced mid-range phone is said to retain the Galaxy A37 5G’s rear and front camera specifications rather than introduce higher-resolution sensors.
- Main camera: 50MP
- Ultrawide camera: 12MP
- Macro camera: 5MP
- Front-facing camera: 12MP
The headline numbers would continue a configuration used since the Galaxy A36, but the Galaxy A37 reportedly brought a more meaningful hardware change behind its 50MP main camera: a 1/1.56-inch sensor, up from the Galaxy A36’s 1/1.96-inch sensor. That larger sensor is said to be comparable in size to the one used by the Galaxy A57.
The ultrawide camera is still expected to use a small 1/4-inch sensor, while the 5MP macro camera would also remain in place. Neither component has been reported to receive an upgrade for the A38 5G.
There are no reported details yet on the Galaxy A38 5G’s chipset, battery, or other specifications. Samsung could still make changes before launch, which is currently expected in March or April 2027, potentially alongside the Galaxy A58.
