Two days ago we found out some specs related to the Galaxy Note II and the fact that it will have a 5.5 inch diagonal and 1280 x 800 pixel display. Now we have one more leak, that reveals a picture of the bezel/frame of the device’s screen, measured at 5.5 inches in diagonal.

What we see here is a squared design, a surprise since we’ve heard that this device would actually be rounded like the Galaxy S III. Basically we’re expecting a larger S III, with the same CPU and camera and I actually like the idea of a squared device, as opposed to a rounded one. There’s still the possibility to add an outer case layer that would make the device curved on the sides, something I wouldn’t dig. I have to remind those of you who wanted a superior screen that Samsung actually tested a Full HD panel and found it to be too energy consuming.

Galaxy Note II remains scheduled for an August 29th unveiling during the Unpacked IFA 2012 show and I’m stoked to see what else they showcase. Maybe that quad core 11 inch Retina Display Samsung tablet? In the meantime let’s see if get a hands on leaked video with the Note II ahead of the launch…
