Samsung is reportedly bringing back its Galaxy Tab Plus model for the Tab S12 generation, but the larger battery may come alongside notable hardware cutbacks. Specifications obtained by WinFuture indicate that the Galaxy Tab S12+ will have a 10,600mAh battery, up from the 10,090mAh unit in the Galaxy Tab S10+, while dropping from four speakers to two and from a dual rear-camera system to a single 13MP camera.
The reported lineup omits a standard Galaxy Tab S12 and restores the Plus variant, which was absent from the Tab S11 series. Both the Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra are said to use MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor, run Android 17 with One UI 9.0, and support microSD expansion up to 2TB.

The Tab S12+ display is also expected to grow from the Tab S10+’s 12.4 inches to 12.6 inches, while the reported 555g weight would be lower than the 571g Wi-Fi Tab S10+. The move to fewer speakers and cameras, however, suggests Samsung could be widening the functional divide between the Plus and Ultra tiers rather than delivering a straightforward across-the-board upgrade.
For the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, the changes appear much narrower. Its reported 14.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, 11,600mAh battery, 45W charging and 693g weight closely match the preceding Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The Dimensity 9500 is the key hardware change: a 12GB configuration previously appeared in Geekbench 7 with scores of 2,760 in single-core and 9,291 in multi-core testing.
Earlier European information pointed to pricing of €1,299 for the Galaxy Tab S12+ and €1,539 for the Tab S12 Ultra, with 5G versions reportedly adding about €200. Samsung has not confirmed the specifications, pricing or availability. The tablets are reportedly due on October 7, when it should become clear whether the Plus model’s battery gain offsets its reported audio and camera reductions.
