MetroPCS has just started selling Samsung Messager II (560) today and the device’s name is a clear indication to the purpose of the handset: messaging. Messager II is already available in Canada via Bell, being known as Samsung Vice north of the border.

The phone comes with a standard alphanumeric keypad, plus a sliding QWERTY keyboard, EV-DO connectivity, a 2.2 inch display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution and Bluetooth. A web browser is also on board, together with a 2 megapixel camera with video recording and a microSD card slot with support for cards of up to 8 GB.

Samsung Messager II is available from today, on MetroPCS’ website for $149.
