Sharp just debuted a new handset in Taiwan, a device known as the Sharp Z2 and offering very solid specs for a price below $300. The device packs 4 GB of RAM and a deca core CPU, plus it doesn’t look bad at all.
The Z2 offers a MediaTek Helio X20 processor, as well as 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. Upfront we find a 5.5 inch screen with Full HD resolution and the product comes in gold or silver. It’s priced at $284 and bring Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 4G LTE, a microSD card slot and a surprising 16 megapixel back camera, a rare occurence on sub $300 phones.
This cam has PDAF, dual tone LED flash and it’s accompanied by a selfie shooter with 8 MP res and F/1.8 aperture. Sharp Z2 opts for a 3000 mAh battery, with support for fast charge via MediaTek’s Pump Express technology. We’ve also got an USB Type C port at the bottom, stereo speakers, infrared emitter and a fingerprint scanner used as a shutter button.
