Sony is prepared to bring at least 2 new phones at MWC 2017, if not even 3 handsets, judging by the latest leaks. One more comes today, in the form of the Sony Pikachu smartphone that leaked via the GFXBench benchmark shown below.

This model is powered by a MediaTek MT6757 processor, which is the codename for the MediaTek Helio P20. It’s an octa core chip clocked at 2.3 GHz and we knew that Sony was prepping two handsets with this chipset, one of which is the Sony G3112. The GFXBench listing mentions 32 GB of storage, 3 GB of RAM and a 5 inch HD screen, leading us to believe this may be a follow-up to the Xperia XA.

It could end up being the Xperia XA (2017), which means we may also get those cool narrow bezels, in an edge to edge approach. The benchmark also mentions a 21 megapixel back camera, 8 MP front cam and Android Nougat as the OS. If there’s any relation to the XA, the price should be affordable, somewhere between $200 and $300. We’ll learn more in Barcelona!
