While some of those lucky Android Forums users will get their phones this Friday, the British tech fans will have to wait till October 30 to purchase the T-Mobile G1. You get the device for free plus 40 pounds per month tariffs and there are already 25.000 customers pre-registered in the UK.

This touchscreen handset comes with a QWERTY keyboard and access to Android Market, some sort of App Store, but without Apple’s limitations. G1 supports T-Mobile’s 3G (HSDPA) network plus Wi-Fi and it features a rich HTML email client and email synchronisation. There’s also a G2 version planned for the remote future, while some say we’ll see the Android OS on HTC Touch HD.

In the meantime, we’d be grateful to get our hands on the G1, without getting too frustrated that UPS have done their jobs too well, delivering the Android phone too early to some lucky users.
