TECNO has introduced the POVA 8 Pro 5G Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition at IFA 2026, bringing a distinctive co-branded exterior to its gaming-oriented POVA handset without changing its core hardware. The limited model uses a black-and-red finish, hexagonal textures, Tonino Lamborghini branding and rear lighting that activates at startup and for notifications.
The rear panel uses what TECNO calls Tonino Lamborghini Black, with reflective elements beneath the cover. A vertical Pulse Line light strip sits in the center, while the camera area incorporates an Alive Matrix Display for animated effects and customized notifications.
Its specifications match the standard POVA 8 Pro 5G, which debuted globally in August. The phone has a 6.78-inch HyperLux AMOLED display with a 2644 x 1208 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 4,500 nits under specified conditions. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the panel, which also supports touch input with wet fingers.
MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate 5G powers the device, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. TECNO also includes its dedicated P1 graphics chip, which is designed for frame interpolation and up to 144fps gameplay in supported titles including Call of Duty Mobile, PUBG Mobile, Honor of Kings and Mobile Legends.
A 6,500mAh battery supports 45W charging and bypass charging, allowing the system to draw power directly while gaming rather than continually charging the battery. Despite the battery capacity, TECNO lists the phone at 7.39mm thick and 189g.
The camera system consists of a 50-megapixel main camera using Sony’s LYT-700C sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera and a 13-megapixel front camera. The handset runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16, with TECNO promising two major Android updates and three years of security patches.
Other listed features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, an infrared emitter, and IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. The collaboration follows TECNO’s Tonino Lamborghini-branded showcase at MWC 2026, where the company also displayed co-branded phones and a liquid-cooled gaming mini PC.
TECNO has not announced pricing or market availability for the Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition. The standard POVA 8 Pro 5G launched in India from INR 49,999, leaving the premium for the special design unconfirmed.
