Vivo has a new smartphone coming, the X7 model, we knew that much and we already saw a few teasers of said newcomer. Today we get up close and personal with a hands on shot, that reveals a thing or two about its fingerprint scanner.

Spied in camouflage form, the device seems to sport a front fingerprint scanner. All the latest Vivo models had very fast such biometrics sensors, so we expect the best from the X7 as well. The interesting bit is that those products had back side fingerprint scanners, while the X7 places it at the front. It’s placed in an oval button located on the chin of the device.

The design feels familiar to the one of the OnePlus 3 and Oppo, which is not exactly surprising, given the relation between the firms Vivo, Oppo and OnePlus. Vivo X7 seems to also sport Android Back and Menu buttons and it’s said to bring an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 CPU and somehow run Android 5.1.1 with Funtouch OS on top.

It should also have a 16 MP camera with LED flash, a metal body and 4 GB of RAM.
