Pocketnow has published a video showing the newest WM 6.5 build (21925) and its finger-friendly tabs. ROM hacker l3v5y has seen this version and he claims that it’s the 6.5.1 we’re looking at here and it’ll be released in January 2010, on Samsung Jackie.

Windows Mobile 6.5.1 will bring important UI changes, if you compare the current builds with the newer one and it’s all going to be influenced by the user-friendliness of things, even controls. 6.5.1 will also include AGPS based on the OS and Microsoft’s servers, not on the carriers’ servers.

l3v5y also claims that the new version of WM will be built on CE5.1 and CE6, so bootloaders may be involved. Meanwhile, we’ll see the 6.5.1 OS on Touch Pro 2 and Touch Diamond 2, coming as upgrades.
