Xiaomi is expanding its REDMI audio lineup with the Headphones Neo, an over-ear model rated for up to 72 hours of playback and wired Hi-Res Audio through its USB-C port. The headphones were shown alongside the REDMI Buds 8, whose active noise cancellation is rated at up to 50 dB.
The REDMI Headphones Neo use 40 mm dynamic drivers with titanium-plated diaphragms and adaptive ANC rated at up to 42 dB. Three microphones support AI-assisted call processing, including wind-noise reduction at wind speeds of up to 5 m/s. Xiaomi lists the headset at 263 g, with an adjustable headband and synthetic-leather ear cushions.

The 72-hour figure is not directly comparable with battery ratings measured while noise cancellation is active, but it is still an unusually high claim for an over-ear wireless design. Xiaomi has shown the Headphones Neo in Mist Blue; Obsidian Black and Sand White are also listed in selected markets.
The REDMI Buds 8 take a more compact approach, pairing 11 mm dynamic drivers with ANC claimed to reach 50 dB across frequencies of up to 4 kHz. Each earbud has three microphones, while Xiaomi says its call algorithm can suppress wind noise in conditions of up to 12 m/s. Hi-Res Audio Wireless is available through the LHDC codec, although it requires updated firmware and a compatible source device.
