We’ve just received the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray for testing and I have to say that this is a very thin and light smartphone, for one thing. It reminds me of how thin and light the LG Optimus Black was back in the days… but with a SE spin of it.

The handset comes with the classic green + white box from Sony Ericsson and inside we find the phone, its battery, a bunch of manuals, the USB cable and headphones that don’t have the same quality as the ones of the Xperia Play. There’s also the charger available, of course… The whole packaging is great, since it opens up like a flower and you have to watch the video below to see what I mean.

Xperia Ray has all the features of a major SE smartphone, but in a smaller and more affordable package. It weighs only 100 grams and measures 9.4mm, while the screen is a 3.3 inch unit. The specs are on par with the likes of the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play, but without the extra kick that made those big players on the market. This is Android phone and if you want more info on it be sure to watch the full review that’s coming soon!
