Announced late last year, ZTE Axon Max is now on sale in China, priced at $425 and sporting a very interesting design. It’s available on the Jingdong Mall retailer and adopts a metal chassis.

The device packs a 6 inch Full HD display with a Samsung AMOLED panel, relying on the 2.5D glass. Acoustics are also a strong point, with the AK4961 audio chip included here and providing high def sound. ZTE Axon Max has an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, as well as a microSD card slot and a 16 megapixel back camera.

Below the camera there’s a fingerprint scanner and upfront we’ve got a 13 megapixel shooter for selfies. The back side shows an interesting design, with leather imitation at the top and bottom, as well as imitation of stitching. Axon Max also has a 4140 mAh battery, with support for Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 standard, taking it up to 60% juice in 30 minutes.
