Today, the Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company ASUS, announced the launch on the Japanese market of two new products, more precisely of the ZenFone 5 (A500KL) smartphone and of the Asus ZenWatch portable device.

The ZenFone 5 (A500KL) comes with a 5-inch HD TFT LCD display (1.280 x 720 pixels), a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2 GB of RAM memory, 16 or 32 GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot up to 64 GB, a 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing-camera and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

This phone weighs 145 grams and in terms of dimensions we have 148.2 mm in length, 72,8 mm in width and 10.34 mm in thickness. As we found out a while ago, Asus will update the ZenFone 5 (A500KL) to the latest Android version (5.0 Lollipop) next year in April. The ZenFone 5 (A500KL) is priced in Japan for $247 (16GB), and $275 for the 32 GB version.

Getting to the Asus ZenWatch, we get to know that this smartwatch offers a 1.63-inch 2.5D AMOLED display with a 320 x 320 pixel resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB space of internal storage, a 369 mAh battery and water/dust proof IP55 certification. This device is priced at $275.
