Samsung is finally bringing its 8 megapixel cameraphone to the US, the Pixon handset being one of the most promising Christmas list items. And it’s coming in style, as it runs on AT&T’s 3G network. Pixon M8800 got renamed Samsung M8800L, with the last letter meaning it gets support for the 850 and 1900 MHz WCDMA bands.

There were also rumours of a T-Mobile version of the Samsung 8 megapixel cameraphone, but everything’s possible so close to Christmas time…
