Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has surfaced in a Geekbench 7 listing, indicating that the company’s next flagship tablet will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 rather than a Snapdragon platform. The entry identifies the device as model SM-X940, the Wi-Fi variant of the Ultra, with 12GB of RAM and Android 17.
The listed chipset configuration has one prime CPU core clocked at 4.21GHz, three performance cores at 3.50GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.70GHz. The tablet recorded 2,760 points in the single-core test and 9,291 points in the multi-core test. As these are Geekbench 7 results, they are not directly comparable with scores from Geekbench 6.

The clock speeds correspond to the standard Dimensity 9500, rather than a possible Plus edition. That would continue Samsung’s recent Ultra-tablet direction: the previous Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra used the Dimensity 9400+.
Previous reports have pointed to a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an 11,600mAh battery for the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra. RAM configurations are expected to begin at 12GB, with 16GB potentially reserved for higher-storage versions. The wider lineup is reportedly set to include the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra, with no standard Tab S12 model expected.

Samsung is expected to unveil the new tablets in September. The benchmark entry does not establish battery life, thermal performance or sustained performance, while the remaining specifications and launch timing still await confirmation from Samsung.
