vivo has launched its X500 flagship family in China, led by the X500 Pro Max, which combines an 8,000mAh battery with a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera. The three-phone lineup also includes the first vivo models built around MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, although that processor is reserved for the Pro and Pro Max.
Chinese pricing starts at 5,499 yuan for the standard X500, 6,499 yuan for the X500 Pro and 6,999 yuan for the X500 Pro Max. The most expensive configuration is the Pro Max Creator Kit, with 16GB of RAM, 1TB of storage and satellite communications, priced at 12,999 yuan.
- vivo X500: A 6.59-inch flat 1.5K, 144Hz display, Dimensity 9600M processor, Sony LYTIA-828 main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, LYTIA-610 telephoto camera and CIPA 5.5 stabilization. It has a 7,500mAh battery, 90W wired charging, 40W wireless charging, and OriginOS 7 based on Android 17. The entry configuration has 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
- vivo X500 Pro: A compact 6.36-inch BOE Q11 LTPO display at 144Hz, Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, BlueImage 900 main camera with vivo-claimed 17EV dynamic range, and an 85mm ZEISS APO telephoto camera using the LYTIA-610 sensor. It carries a 6,510mAh battery and supports 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.
- vivo X500 Pro Max: A 6.85-inch BOE Q11 2K LTPO display at 144Hz, Dimensity 9600 Pro processor and 8,000mAh battery. Its camera hardware includes a 200MP ZEISS APO telephoto camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, 4K recording at 240fps, and support for a ZEISS teleconverter equivalent to 400mm.
The battery capacities show a clear size trade-off within the family. The smaller X500 Pro has the lowest-rated cell at 6,510mAh, while the standard X500 reaches 7,500mAh and the Pro Max rises to 8,000mAh. vivo lists the compact Pro at roughly 7.95mm thick.
The Pro Max is also positioned as the imaging-focused model. Its 200MP telephoto is related to the hardware used by the vivo X300 Ultra, and vivo will offer G2 and G2 Ultra teleconverters as well as a camera grip separately.
On connectivity, the 1TB X500 Pro and the X500 Pro are described as vivo’s first phones to combine two physical SIM cards with two eSIMs. The X500 and X500 Pro Max go on sale in China on September 24, while the X500 Pro follows on September 29. vivo has not announced global availability for the X500 series.
