Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is reportedly rated for 88 hours and 54 minutes of battery life under the EU’s standardized test, according to energy-label material shared by Roland Quandt. That is 5 hours and 57 minutes below the 94-hour, 51-minute rating assigned to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, despite the new model reportedly retaining an 11,600mAh battery.
The figure should not be treated as a direct prediction of everyday endurance. Standardized label testing does not represent every workload, such as gaming, video playback or heavy multitasking, and final retail hardware will need independent testing. Still, the lower rating is notable if the battery capacity and other reported specifications hold true. There is no verified explanation for the difference yet.
New renders published by Evan Blass show little outward change for Samsung’s largest tablet. The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra appears to keep a 14.6-inch display with a small front-camera cutout, a very slim chassis and two rear cameras. An S Pen is also pictured, while a WinFuture report says the stylus will be included; renders alone cannot confirm box contents.
WinFuture, which says it obtained product sheets for the lineup, reports that the main hardware change will be the move to MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 processor. The chip has also appeared in a Geekbench result, though Samsung has not announced the tablet or confirmed its specifications.

The reported display, battery capacity, charging speed and camera arrangement suggest a limited hardware redesign over the Tab S11 Ultra, placing more emphasis on the new chipset. Energy-label information also lists the Galaxy Tab S12+ at 80 hours and 34 minutes. Both S12 models are said to carry IP68 protection, a Class C repairability rating and batteries rated for 1,200 charging cycles.
An October 7 launch date has been rumored, but Samsung has not confirmed a date, pricing or regional availability for the Galaxy Tab S12 series.
