Huawei is reportedly preparing a new Nova-branded foldable that could be unveiled before the end of 2026. The device is expected to target the midrange market and may adopt a smaller form factor than the previous generation.
According to tipster FixedFocus, the upcoming Nova foldable could also bring design changes and possible camera improvements. However, there are no confirmed details on its hardware, camera system or software features.
Huawei has recently explored several different device formats across its wider smartphone lineup:
- Pura X Max, a foldable with a wide format.
- Pura X View, a conventional smartphone built around a wide display.
- Mate XT 2, a three-section foldable with an inward-folding mechanism and an external display.

The new Nova model would be positioned differently from those devices, focusing on a lower-cost entry into Huawei’s foldable range. The existing Nova Flip S already uses a compact design, multiple color options and a square cover display that supports customizable themes and interactive games.
It remains unclear whether Huawei will release the new Nova foldable outside its home market, and the company has not confirmed its launch timing, specifications or pricing.
