Apple has introduced a new 14-inch MacBook Pro built around its M6 chip, adding Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 while retaining the Liquid Retina XDR display. The laptop is rated for up to 24 hours of battery life and starts with 16GB of unified memory and a 1TB SSD.
- The M6 has a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, two more CPU and GPU cores than the M5.
- Apple claims up to 30% faster graphics performance and up to 25% faster performance in certain AI tasks versus M5.
- Its dual 16-core Neural Engine is claimed to deliver up to 1.9 times the performance of M5 in Apple’s tests.
Memory can be configured up to 32GB, while memory bandwidth reaches 170GB/s. Apple’s various AI and graphics performance claims apply to different tests and workloads, so the highest figure should not be treated as a universal gain across all AI applications.
The 14-inch model continues with a 12MP Center Stage camera, a six-speaker system and an optional nano-texture display designed to reduce reflections. Connectivity includes three Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, MagSafe 3, an SDXC card slot and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple says a sufficiently powerful compatible USB-C power adapter, such as a 96W unit, can charge the notebook to 50% in around 30 minutes.
Apple is offering the new MacBook Pro in Space Black and Silver. Pricing in Germany starts at €2,299 including VAT. Preorders begin October 28, and deliveries are scheduled to start November 6, 2026, in the markets announced by Apple.
The company also refreshed the 24-inch iMac with M6. It keeps the 4.5K Retina display and is available in seven colors. The base configuration has 10-core CPU and GPU options, while higher-end versions reach 12 cores for both, alongside up to four Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The M6 iMac adds Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and macOS 27. Apple claims up to five times faster performance than the M4 iMac in certain local AI workloads. It starts at $1,499 in the US and follows the same October 28 preorder and November 6 availability schedule.
