If Amazon and eBay are one of the biggest online e-commerce platform in US and Europe, in Asia there is Alibaba. Today, through Bloomberg Billionaire Index report we get to know that Alibaba’s founder, Jack Ma is now the Asia’s richest man, surpassing the previous richest man from this region, more precisely the 86-year old Li Ka-Shing.

According to this publication, the Jack’s Ma wealth reached $28.6 billion, while Li Ka-Shing comes on 2nd place with $28.3 billion ($1.9 billion decline this year). Also, we found out that this year, Alibaba’s market value reached $259 billion, Jack’s shares reaching $16.3 billion, more than half of its total fortune.

This year, on September 18, Alibaba managed to complete a record of $25 billion in financing IPO (initial public offering), with a $68 issued price per share.
