Although crippled by the lack of some features and its lag, we can say that the Android 2.3 alpha build is running neatly on HTC Wildfire at this point. The port job was done very fast, considering that Gingerbread was launched yesterday and this software is basically a port of the SDK emulator.

Google didn’t yet let the 2.3 code run loose on AOSP, but it’s coming, rest assured. Right now, this build is facing lag issues, lack of Internet, GPS, sensors and a bunch more features. At least you can make calls with it, check out the nice visual effects and the appealing new keyboard.

More details once the build evolves!
