It seems that webOS is much harder to port on Android hardware than Google’s mobile OS is to run on webOS hardware. k3dar in the precentral forums has managed to make Android run on the Palm Pre, as shown in the video below. We’re talking dual boot here and an “Android Open Source Project” version of the OS.

Keyboard mapping was necessary to make this work, with volume standing for menu, E for Home and other such implementations. Keep in mind that people are reporting bricked devices after having tried this on unsupported hardware. There’s a downloadable shell script that will load on your Pre right here, followed by the installation of Android.
