Anker has introduced the Laptop Charger Pro (VALORANT Limited Edition), a 100W USB-C GaN charger that goes beyond its game-themed exterior with a live Smart Display and battery-management features. Its Care Mode can recognize selected devices and, on supported MacBooks, lets users set a charging ceiling between 80% and 100%.
The display reports charging power, temperature, and charging progress in real time, while Anker’s Charging Manager app provides additional battery information. Anker says the charger identifies certain MacBooks, iPhones, and iPads and applies a device-specific charging curve. With the app installed, support also extends to some Windows laptops, including ThinkPad X1 and Dell XPS models.
Anker claims Care Mode can extend battery life by up to 40%, based on the company’s laboratory testing. It also reports internal battery temperatures up to 5°C lower and charger temperatures up to 10°C lower than with its reference 96W adapter. Those results will vary by device and charging conditions.
100W output, one USB-C port
The charger supports USB Power Delivery 3.1, PPS, and AVS, and Anker says it can sustain its full 100W output at a 25°C ambient temperature. In the company’s testing, a 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5 reached 50% charge from empty in around 30 minutes.
There is only one USB-C port, so the 100W output cannot be shared between a laptop and other devices at the same time. The charger measures 62 × 34 × 55 mm, weighs 193 g, uses folding prongs, and ships with a 240W USB-C cable.
The VALORANT design includes UV-printed artwork featuring eight agents and a dedicated interface on the charger’s display. Jett is available at launch, while Phoenix and Killjoy themes are due in an over-the-air update in October; Anker says more themes will follow. Wallpapers can be changed through the Charging Manager app.
Anker lists the limited edition at $59.99 in the US. Its official store shows it as a preorder, with deliveries scheduled between September 28 and October 10. Availability in other regions has not been confirmed.
