Today is the big iPad launch day, but the product was present in many talk shows, ahead of its store debut. Among those, there was also David Letterman’s show, where he messed with the tablet in a pretty funny and ironic way, as you can see in the following video:

Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert, the man who handled an iPad at the 2010 Grammy Awards, used the tablet to chop vegetables on his show the other day. David Letterman is very funny when using the iPad, specially because he doesn’t seem to have a clue about it and even slaps the device a couple of times when it appears to misbehave.

The talk show host also licks the device and manages to block its screen every once in a while, proving that he’s not as tech savvy as Jimmy Fallon. In other news, MobileMe now supports the iPad and MacStories informs us that iTunes 9.1 includes an “iPad remote”, possibly a way of turning the tablet into the most expensive universal remote out there.
