The image below was first thought to be a leaked photo of the upcoming BlackBerry Dakota model, but it turns out that it’s in fact an older handset, a BB prototype. This could be the Magnum handset and you should probably give up hope of ever seeing this in shops.

As you can see, this supposed BlackBerry Dakota/ Magnum is the size of Bold 9000 model, it comes with 3G support, a touchscreen display and a full QWERTY keyboard. It also manages to ditch the trackpad and trackball and it seemingly sports a “Liquid Lens”, for high quality images.

We’ve got no OS details so far, but we sure hope that RIM got some sense back and is ready to create a QWERTY-touchscreen combo, after the BlackBerry Storm failure.
