It seems that being sent to jail isn’t scary enough for some people in China, who continue leaking Apple secrets. One of them is the recent unveiling of the launch date for the new iPhone 5, that’s reconfirmed for September, after a period of rumors that placed the new iPhone in August.

The source of the leak is a China Mobile employee, who claims that Apple will launch their new phone in September and production will start in September. China Mobile is supposed to also launch the device in the same month and the guy behind the rumor gave us the info about the upcoming handset on Weibo, a Twitter-like service.

With 500 million users and 5 million of the iPhone owners, the Chinese carrier has all the reason to be one of the premiere operators for the new iPhone. Meanwhile we don’t even have the tiniest idea of the hardware specs on the new iPhone, although more and more speculations point towards an 8 megapixel camera, dual core A5 chip and bigger display.
