Turns out that Samsung made good on its promise to deliver the Android 2.3 update for the Galaxy S in mid-April, so the software started rolling out on the night between the 15th and 16th this month. It’s taking place as we speak and if you own a Samsung Galaxy S, you should already be aware that Gingerbread is coming, or already installed it by now.
However, Engadget is claiming that the rollout is limited, focusing on the Nordic countries, Holland and Germany first, but we guess that the rest of Europe will get it by Tuesday, let’s say.
