As Google launched a new look for Google Search results on the PC, the search engine giant also announced design changes for the mobile version. If you access Google.com in the US on the iPhone or an Android handset and enter a search, you can tap on the button on the left of the search box (on the results page) to see a couple of new options.

You’ll discover a new search options menu and selecting any item from there will refine your search. When the menu expands, the search results will slide off the screen and to the right. Additional menu options will be available, stuff like “News” and “Products”, plus Google announced that in the following weeks they’ll implement support for more devices and locales.

Palm webOS is also supported and more menu options will be added in the future.
